Care

All my pieces of art are made of batik cotton and treated for UV and stain.
Artwork made from textiles has the potential to keep its colour and integrity for many years with regular maintenance.
About every three months, gently dust the surface with the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. Open the duct of the wand to reduce strong suction. If soiled, you can gently rub with a damp cloth.
The fabric needs to breathe, so do not seal in plastic for more than a month. For transport or short term storage, plastic wrapping is fine.
For extended storage, wrap the work in a clean sheet or pillowcase, and keep it out of dampness and excessive temperatures.
As with any other artwork, do not hang the work in the direct sun. If it is to hang in an excessively smoky or dusty environment, consider an acrylic cover or traditional mounting with glass. Consult professional for options.
