This beautiful art quilt pattern is perfect to learn my basic technique of raw-edge fused appliqué.

The finished quilt is 11”x14” before framing. It is full of pictures to help visualize the given instruction.
All the pieces have been reversed and all you have to do is trace, cut and place.
From here you can move on to more difficult projects on your own.

You can buy only the pattern, the pattern with fabric included or the full kit which includes the pattern, fabrics, steam-a-seam, wool and cotton batting.

Fabric lettering identification corresponds with the letters found on pattern pieces.

Fabric A: Pale blue (Flower) / 9"x 4"
Fabric B: Medium blue (Flower) / 9"x 5"
Fabric C: Royal blue (Flower) / 9"x 5"
Fabric D: Dark blue (Flower) / 7"x 4.5"
Fabric E: Pale Green (Stem) / 3.5"x 8.5"
Fabric F: Medium green (Stem) / 5.5"x 9.5"
Fabric G: Dark Green (Stem) / 8.5"x 4.5"
Fabric H: Cream (Bird) / 2.5"x 3.5"
Fabric J: Red (Bird) / 2.5"x 3.5"
Fabric K: Pale Brown (Bird) / 2.5"x 3.5"
Fabric L: Medium Brown (Bird) / 6.5"x 2.5"
Fabric M: Dark Brown (Bird) / 5"x 4.5"
Fabric N: Yellow (Bird) / 3"x 4"
Fabric O: Grey (Background) / 12"x 15"
Cotton backing fabric: white or pastel color /13"x 16"
Quilt back fabric: your choice / 15" x 18"
Bias or straight grain binding: your choice / 75" long
Cotton batting: 14" x 17"
Fusible web — 1¼ yard, " Lite Steam-a-seam 2 " is recommended for its semi-permanent glue needed during placement.

Clear cellophane wrap to aid in the placement of pattern pieces. (transparent cellophane gift wrap, not cling wrap)
Embroidery thread of your choice to embellish the quilt.
Optional: Wool batting for trapunto: 12" x14"
Water-soluble thread

To prevent fraying edges of the design it is recommended to use batik.

This is an amazing kit to work with. I got it to learn the technique Lise uses to create those gorgeous pieces. She offers support through the process even though I haven't needed it so far because it's very well made if you take the time to read and study the document. So much has been put into it, the whole conception, all the knowledge and experience it takes to offer such a patron. And there is room for being creative if you chose to. I highly recommend it.
